Goalsetter App: Getting Started

This guide will walk you through setting up your Goalsetter App account.

Parent/Guardian of a student under 18 years of age:

1. Download the Goalsetter App to your smartphone from the Apple or Google store.
2. Once you download and are in the Goalsetter App, select Sign Up. Select I’m the parent/guardian.
3. Next, you’ll be asked if you have a Program ID, select YES.
4. Enter the Program ID “BHMFFP2022” as indicated in the email or text message you received from your student.
5. Enter your student’s unique Customer ID as indicated in the email or text message you received from your student.
6. Continue through the onboarding process to create a profile for your student and invite your student in the app.
For your student to be eligible to receive sponsored stock, you must create an investment account. Follow the prompts to create a parent/guardian profile AND a teen/kid profile for your student when setting up the investment account.

Teacher or student who is 18 years of age or older:

If you are a student 18 years old or older and want your parent/guardian to enroll in the app and add you, that’s okay. Have them follow the “Parent/Guardian” steps above.
If you are a Birmingham teacher or a Birmingham Financial Freedom Project student who is 18 years old or older, you might be able to register without a parent or guardian. Follow the steps below:
1. Download the Goalsetter App to your smartphone from the Apple or Google store.
2. Once you download and are in the Goalsetter App, select Sign Up.
3. Select I’m the parent/guardian. Here, this signifies that you are an adult signing up on your own.
4. Next, you’ll be asked if you have a Program ID, select YES.
5. Birmingham Financial Freedom Project’s Program ID: “BHMFFP2022”
6. Enter your unique Customer ID.
7. Birmingham Financial Freedom Project’s Customer ID: district-provided ID
8. Continue through the onboarding process to create a profile..
9. For you to be eligible to receive sponsored stock, you must create an investment account. Follow the prompts to create a profile when setting up an investment account.
You must complete the entire enrollment process, including setting up the investment account, to receive your sponsored stock.

How do I get my stock?

Stock will be distributed to participating Birmingham Financial Freedom Project teachers and students who have completed enrollment in the Goalsetter App by February 28, 2023.

Make sure you are registered by February 28, 2023!

Stock will be distributed to Birmingham Financial Freedom Project students’ accounts who have completed enrollment in the Goalsetter App and have created an investment account in the Goalsetter App by February 28, 2023. $40 of sponsored stock will be distributed to each eligible student’s Goalsetter App investment account and cannot be distributed as cash or any other means.
Birmingham Financial Freedom Project participants have sponsored Goalsetter Gold accounts until December 31, 2023. At the end of the sponsorship term, users will be invited to begin a paid subscription plan.
3-5 business days for a transfer into and out of the app, but you can keep money in your app wallet for immediate distribution to your added children.
Birmingham Financial Freedom Project Goalsetter Gold sponsored accounts do not have transaction fees. Please contact customer service if you are being prompted to pay any fees while enrolled with your sponsored Birmingham Financial Freedom Project account. Customer service: hello@goalsetter.co
Yes, a Social Security Number is required for the primary registrant, parent/guardian or student age 18 or older, and the participating student, to complete the enrollment access.

If you already have a Goalsetter account that is not associated with the Program ID from the Birmingham Financial Freedom Project and you want to participate in a sponsored account and/or receive sponsored stock, please email hello@goalsetter.co.

Drive Wealth is our investment partner that makes parent-approved trades. To make a trade, the student has to ask for permission in the app, a parent must approve, and then Drive Wealth will make the trade.
